We handle fridge repair in Redmond for apartments, townhomes and houses: standard refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, built-ins and wine coolers. A technician diagnoses the problem at your place and quotes the repair in writing before starting.
Where Redmond’s refrigerators live
Redmond has changed fast. Downtown Redmond and Overlake have added a lot of apartment buildings and townhomes in recent years, and many of them came with a full set of builder-installed appliances. On Education Hill, Grass Lawn and in North Redmond, streets of older single-family houses sit alongside newer infill. Redmond Ridge, a planned community outside city limits, was built mostly in the 2000s.
That mix shapes the work. In newer units we mostly see French-door and bottom-freezer refrigerators with an ice maker and a water dispenser. In older houses it’s more often a refrigerator that has outlived one or two kitchen updates, plus a second fridge or freezer in the garage.
If you rent
Plenty of Redmond homes are rentals, and fridge repairs in a rental involve one extra step: working out who’s in charge of the appliance. When the refrigerator came with the apartment, the landlord or management company normally decides on the repair. We can book through them, send the quote to them, and coordinate with you only for access.
Apartment buildings sometimes have their own maintenance staff who handle simple calls before bringing in a refrigeration technician. Asking the leasing office first can save you a wait.
Townhome visits
Redmond’s newer townhomes are often three stories, with the garage at street level and the kitchen one floor up. A few practical points:
- Guest parking can be limited. Tell us whether the technician should use your driveway apron, a guest stall or the street.
- Kitchens in these units are compact. If the fridge has to slide out, we need the floor in front of it clear.
- We repair in place. Carrying a refrigerator down two flights is rarely necessary and something we avoid.
Fridge repair in newer Redmond kitchens
Builder-grade refrigerators usually fail in predictable places, and most of those failures are repairable:
- Ice makers that stop, overfill or freeze into a solid block, often in the fresh-food side of a French-door model. See ice maker repair.
- Slow or dribbling water dispensers, frequently a clogged filter or a frozen line in the door.
- A warm fresh-food section while the freezer still feels cold, usually a defrost or airflow problem.
- A freezer that won’t get cold enough. Our guide to a freezer not freezing walks through what you can safely check first.
For anything beyond those, our main refrigerator repair page describes the full range of work.

Repair service in Redmond: FAQ
I rent my place. Who should book and pay for the repair?
Check your lease first. If the refrigerator came with the unit, it usually belongs to the landlord, and the repair is theirs to approve. We're happy to work for the owner or property manager directly and send them the written quote, while you simply let the technician in. If the fridge is your own, you can book it like any homeowner would.
My refrigerator is less than a year old. Should I call you?
Call the manufacturer first. A new refrigerator is normally covered by the maker's warranty, and since we're an independent company, our repair wouldn't be billed to that warranty. Once the coverage has run out, or if the warranty service can't get to you, we're glad to take the call.
Do you go out to Redmond Ridge and Bear Creek?
Yes, along with Education Hill, North Redmond, Southeast Redmond and Overlake. Redmond Ridge sits outside the city limits but carries Redmond addresses, and we treat it the same as anywhere else in town. Give us the cross street and any gate or parking instructions when you book.
