Refrigeration repair in Hunts Point rarely stops at the kitchen. We service built-in and freestanding refrigerators, bar and pantry units, wine coolers, freezers, ice makers and outdoor refrigerators. Hunts Point is one of the smallest towns on Lake Washington, a narrow residential peninsula just north of SR 520, and its waterfront homes tend to keep cold storage in several places at once.
Refrigeration spread across the property
In a larger waterfront house, the main kitchen’s built-in is often just one of several units. Add refrigerator drawers in the island, a beverage center at the bar, wine storage on a lower level, and an undercounter refrigerator in an outdoor kitchen, on a terrace or near the water.
Before the visit, tell us what each unit is and where it sits. The technician can then plan the time, bring suitable parts, and go straight to the one that’s acting up instead of searching a large property for it.
Outdoor and undercounter refrigeration repair
Outdoor refrigerators work harder than anything indoors. They put up with summer heat, damp winters, pollen, leaves and spiders, and most of them breathe through a small grille at the front.
The faults we find on them follow from that:
- a front grille and condenser packed with debris, so the unit runs constantly and can’t hold temperature
- door gaskets that harden and crack in the sun
- corroded fan motors and connections
- ice makers and water lines damaged by a freeze
Indoors, refrigerator drawers have their own weak spots. Drawer slides wear and let the front sag, the gasket stops meeting the frame evenly, and frost builds along the top edge. A toe-kick vent blocked by a rug or a cabinet change has a similar effect on cooling.
Our built-in refrigerator repair page covers undercounter units and drawers in more detail, and wine cooler repair covers wine storage.
Arranging the visit
Many Hunts Point homes sit behind gates or at the end of long private drives. Send the gate details with your booking and tell us where to leave the van without blocking a neighbor’s drive.
Around the Points
Yarrow Point, the next peninsula to the east, is on the same route. So are Medina on the far side of SR 520 and Kirkland, a short drive north.

Repair service in Hunts Point: FAQ
Can you repair an outdoor refrigerator?
Yes, as long as it's an outdoor-rated unit or a standard undercounter refrigerator we can reach. Outdoor units usually fail from a clogged front grille, hardened door gaskets or corrosion on fans and electrical connections. If an indoor-only model has been installed outside, we'll tell you, because it will keep struggling in summer heat however well it's repaired.
Should I shut down the outdoor refrigerator for winter?
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your model. Many outdoor refrigerators are meant to be emptied, unplugged and left with the door slightly open over the cold months, and any with an ice maker need the water supply shut off and drained so the line can't freeze. When you power it back up in spring, give it a day to reach temperature before restocking.
Do you need someone to meet the technician?
Someone needs to let us in and approve the written quote, but that doesn't have to be the owner. A house manager, caretaker or family member is fine, and the quote can be emailed to the owner for a decision. If a unit is in a pool house or boathouse, make sure whoever meets us can open it.
