We provide refrigerator repair across Bothell, covering standard and built-in refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and wine coolers. Bothell is one of the few cities in the area split between two counties, but for booking a repair the county line doesn’t matter: one phone number, one process, the whole city.
One city, two counties
The southern part of Bothell, including downtown, Maywood Hills and Norway Hill, is in King County. The northern neighborhoods, Canyon Park among them, are in Snohomish County. You’ll notice the split in your street address and on your tax bill, not on our schedule.
What does change from south to north is the housing. Around downtown and on the hills east of it you find older houses on established lots. Further north, much of the housing is newer: subdivisions and townhomes built from the 1990s onward, with attached garages and open-plan kitchens.
Garages, second fridges and freezers
Attached two- and three-car garages are standard in Bothell’s newer neighborhoods, and a lot of them hold a second refrigerator or an upright freezer. A garage is a rough place for an appliance. Floors slope toward the door, which can keep a freezer door from sealing, and dust and the occasional cobweb end up on the condenser coils.
Before calling about a garage unit, check that it sits level, the door closes on its own and the coils aren’t buried behind boxes or bikes. Set a glass of water on the shelf for a few hours and read its temperature if you’re not sure the unit is really warm. The freezer-not-freezing guide lists other safe checks. Details on what we repair are on our freezer repair page.
Refrigerator repair in older homes near downtown
In the older houses closer to Main Street, the refrigerator has usually been replaced at least once, but the plumbing behind it often hasn’t. A common setup is a newer fridge with an ice maker connected through an old saddle valve clamped onto a copper line. Those valves are a frequent source of slow leaks, so if you notice water stains or a warped floor near the fridge, mention it when you call.
The refrigerators themselves usually come to us with ordinary faults: a failed evaporator fan, a defrost component, a door gasket or an ice maker that has stopped filling. Most of these are worth fixing.
On the north-end route
Bothell sits where I-405 meets SR 522, and we usually group visits here with the neighboring north-end cities. That includes Kirkland to the south, Mill Creek East to the north, and Woodway out toward the Sound.

Repair service in Bothell: FAQ
My Bothell address is in Snohomish County. Does that change anything?
Not for a repair visit. We serve the whole city, so Canyon Park and the other northern neighborhoods get the same diagnostic fee, the same scheduling and the same technicians as Maywood Hills or downtown. Do give us the full street address with its direction, because King County and Snohomish County use different street grids, and a NE address and a SE address can look alike at a glance.
The upright freezer in my garage keeps frosting up. What's going on?
On a frost-free upright, heavy frost usually points to a defrost problem: a failed heater, thermostat or control. Frost concentrated near the door suggests a gasket that isn't sealing, often because the freezer isn't level on a sloped garage floor. Check that the door closes firmly on its own, then call us if the frost returns within days of clearing it.
My ice maker's water line is leaking. Can you fix it?
We handle everything on the refrigerator's side: the water inlet valve, the internal tubing and the connection at the back of the cabinet. If the leak turns out to come from the house supply, such as an old saddle valve or the shutoff in the wall, we'll show you where it is, and that part is a job for a plumber. Shut the water off until then.
