Big Chill is a Boulder, Colorado-founded (2001) premium appliance brand celebrated for retro-inspired, stamped-metal-body refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and beverage coolers available in over 200 custom colors. Co-founders Orion Creamer and Thom Vernon made their first sale in 2003. Products are designed in Boulder, CO and assembled and shipped from facilities in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Blandon, Pennsylvania. The brand operates three style lines: Retro (1950s curves and chrome), Classic (modern counter-depth with brass, copper, and satin nickel trim options), and Pro (contemporary flat-panel, launched 2014). Big Chill is internationally recognized as the definitive American retro-luxury kitchen appliance brand. All refrigerators are ENERGY STAR certified with a 1-year parts and labor warranty (reduced from 2 years as of September 2022). Big Chill does not manufacture dedicated standalone freezers, standalone undercounter ice makers, or dedicated dual-zone wine coolers.
